To prepare a face to meet the face the faces that you meet

Hello there,
fellow art lovers!
welcome to my page.
I'm Ritu Basetia,
an Indian artist and a film maker
Art has always been a big part of my life, even though I started my professional career as a filmmaker and editor. Drawing and painting have always been a meditative experience for me. I believe! Art has immense power to inspire, heal and bring joy to people’s lives.
I have been scribbling away on paper for as long as I can remember. Even after a hectic workday, I take five minutes to draw something in my sketchbook. There’s something about the process of creating art that brings me peace and allows me to express myself uniquely.
One of the things that I’m most passionate about is exploring my perspective and creativity through art. Each painting is an opportunity to learn something new and play with different mediums and techniques. Sometimes my work reaches a stage where they don’t look great, and I feel like giving up. But I’ve learned that pushing through and letting the layers guide me leads to a successful and meaningful piece of creation.
I have a distinct fascination with eyes. You will find them uniquely featured in many of my paintings. They tell a story and bring a sense of depth to each piece. I also love to instil elements of nature in my work, whether through vibrant colours or intricate details.
When I m not creating art, I spend time with my two cats, Budbak and Poopy. They are my constant companions and a source of inspiration for my cat paintings and drawings. This page is not just a showcase of my art but a space to connect and share ideas about art. I would love to hear from you, so please feel free to leave a comment or drop me a message.
Thank you for visiting my page, and I hope you enjoy exploring my art as much as I enjoyed creating it
Dive in to my world
Stories to tell
Nature in the city
Where Sun is hot, sky is grey
Land is dry, Life in disarray
Honks of cars assault all day
Reprieve from panic seems far away
I tend to my garden in my window
A patch of little green on the 3rd floor
Seeds I’ve planted, I watch ‘em grow
Leaves appearing like a magic show
I read my book while sipping tea
I Look at a butterfly very pretty
What a wonder, I reflect
A little Oasis in a concrete flat
